The law of attraction is so amazing! Today I rode the wave of friendship, as I talked to and ran into so many friends! I saw 4 different past Doula clients at the store today!
Also, I talked to my friend Jan Hunt, who gave me a call to let me know that her book, The Unschooling Unmanual will contain one of my articles in the German translation! The German publisher chose my article out of several to replace one that they aren't going to have in the German version. Very cool. She also told me that she is adding my YouTube videos to The Natural Child Project website. Sweet!
Then, I talked to my friend-dude, Scott Noelle to wish him luck on his upcoming Live and Learn gig. It's really funny, but we are both flying out of airports on opposite ends of the country at the same exact time on Wednesday. He said that our planes will probably pass eachother in the sky with us flying to the Rethinking Education Conference at the same time. I told him I would wave to him as we fly by. ;) I wish we could be at one of the conferences together! Maybe next year.
Finally, this evening, my sweet friend Suzanne Arms, who wrote "Immaculate Deception" among other birth related books, called to say hello, and to ask me if I would be on her Board of Directors of her organization, Birthing The Future. They actually have a documentary coming out on PBS soon about birth. It was so nice to connect with her and talk birth.
Here is a poem by my dear friend Suzanne, that I love so much:
If we hope to create a non-violent world where respect and kindness
replace fear and hatred
We must begin with how we treat each other
at the beginning of life.
For that is where our deepest patterns are set.
From these roots grow fear and alienation
~or love and trust.
