Bye-Bye Shoes!

The snow has finally melted. The flowers are blooming and my kids shoes are no where to be seen.
Who can resist those adorable little toes?! Call me weird, but I love my children's little dirty feet at the end of the day.
I wanted to share this interesting website about the *Truth* of allowing children to go barefoot.
"Your feet walk upon the Earth and through this your spirit is connected to the universe. Our feet are our contact with the Earth and the energies that flow through it. " Cherokee "Moonmaiden" Jenny Wallace

Dirty feet are happy feet, wouldn't you agree?

Love the link. I stumbled across it some time ago but forgot all about it. Upon following another link I found the Barefoot Hikers website and am totally going to incorporate that into our LEAP Nature Club. Thanks! :)

LOVE this. we don't go barefoot very much when we we are outside (nyc doesn't seem to conducive to it) but we do whenever we are outside the city.

i've heard that in New Zealand culture is very pro-bare feet. i think its wonderful!

What a sweet photo! I love being barefoot. I swear I was meant to be a hippie.

My kids love to go barefoot everywhere. I call them organic feet. The dirtier the better.
