Handcrafting Joy

Today was a cold, blustery day. The first snow of the season fell to the ground. Our gears shift this time of year and we become more home-focused than the warmer months when we travel often.

One thing that our family enjoys very much are hand crafts. Devin and Tiff love to crotchet. Ivy loves any kind of craft. Today we enjoyed creating cute fuzzy critters and Devin made a 42 foot long crotchet rope that he wants to use as garland for our Christmas tree this year. Nothing like the first snow to get you in the mood for the upcoming holidays!

We all love this time of year!

Dayna, I have been reading your blog for a few months now. I love your wisdom and personal stories with your family. I have not yet decided what to do about school systems, yet you are inspiring! Thank you.

I love that your son is crochetting!!! I also love the fuzzy owl. I love owls, especially. They always represented "Wisdom" to me.
You are also lucky to have snow. I haven't seen snow since I was 14!

What am I thinking... It snowed on our wedding night, here in Houston. It was a freak thing. I can't believe I forgot that.

Dayna, I know you don't do memees often, but there's a husband meme, "How well do you know your man" on my blog. Check it out, and celebrate Joe. I know you like to post about him often.
